Meet Yetty – Your Friendly ESL Tutor

Hello! I’m Yetty, an ESL tutor from the USA with over five years of experience teaching students of all ages and from diverse cultural backgrounds. I love helping learners gain confidence in English—whether your child is just starting out, a teen wants to improve grammar and writing, or an adult is looking to strengthen conversation or business English skills. My lessons are fun, interactive, and personalized, designed to make learning English practical, enjoyable, and confidence-building.

My motivation for teaching English online comes from my passion for knowledge and learning about other cultures. I believe that language is the bridge to understanding the world, which is why I love traveling and exploring different cultures—I have a thirst to know what is afar, not just what is near. Bringing this perspective into my lessons allows me to create culturally aware and globally informed learning experiences for my students.

As the CEO of YettySpeaks Confectionery Solutions, I’ve led multicultural teams, managed operations, and communicated across cultures. My experience in customer service, tax guidance, and benefits administration has strengthened my adaptability, problem-solving, and communication skills, which I bring into every lesson.

I am also a wife of 22 years and a mother of two children—a teenage girl and a boy entering middle school. Both of my children are homeschooled, so I practice what I preach and understand firsthand how to support learners at home while making education engaging and meaningful.

In my personal life, I enjoy cooking, reading, traveling, shopping, browsing the internet, debating, and spending quality time with my family. I love bringing my personality and passions into lessons, making them engaging and memorable for students of all ages.
