Welcome to my profile! It's a pleasure to meet you. Allow me to introduce myself and share a little about who I am, my interests, and what you can expect when learning with me.
 MY BACKGROUND & CAREER
I'm Zico, a former professional chef turned English teacher with a passion for languages, cultures, and meeting people from all walks of life.
Throughout my culinary career, I've had the wonderful opportunity to work in several countries, including Spain, the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi), and Barbados. I've also had the privilege of working in prestigious restaurants, including Michelin-starred establishments. These experiences allowed me to explore different cultures, broaden my horizons, and develop a deep appreciation for the diversity of the world around us.
My journey has taught me that learning a language is about much more than memorising vocabulary and grammar. It's about connecting with people, discovering new perspectives, and becoming more confident in expressing yourself.
 MY HOBBIES & INTERESTS
Outside of teaching, I'm someone with quite a variety of interests!
I'm a big fan of motorsports, both watching and following the excitement of racing. I also enjoy watching anime, occasionally playing video games, and, of course, experimenting in the kitchen with different cuisines.
I'm also a bit of a language enthusiast! I enjoy exploring different languages, particularly Spanish and Japanese (日本語 / Nihongo). I find the process of learning a new language fascinating, especially discovering the cultural nuances and expressions that make each language unique.
When I'm not immersed in languages or cooking, I enjoy challenging myself with outdoor obstacle courses, playing the guitar and drums, and occasionally singing when the mood strikes!
