It was our first lesson and I was excited to take his lessons as he's from a business field.
However, I couldn't help but think the lessons were a rush work.

He is very intelligent. Using the experience as a manager of the international bank. He is very good to hear student's question and teach many things in a properly way.He had broad knowledge and explain these very clearly and thoughtfully. He also enjoy teaching many things through conversation with students, Thank you very much.

Today we started reading new article which Teacher Mark prepared for me. The
topic was "Native speakers are the world's worst communicators". There were many words I could learn. He explained meaning clearly, so I learned words not just translate to Japanese but understand in English. Thank you and see you at next lesson!

We continued to read the artcle about Harry Potter from last lesson. I understood overall story, but there were several words I didn't know. Teacher Mark's explanation was very clear and easy to understand. Looking forward for next article. Thank you.

I enjoyed his class, as usual. He always tries listening to me very carefully and after I finish talking, then he gives me feedback about my English. I think he takes notes during my speaking. In today's class, he taught me that feedback is singular, and several words such as flustered or rhetorical, and natural expressions. I deeply appreciate his sincere attitude. Thank you, Mark!

He prepared an article about Harry Potter for me and we read it. When there
was vocabulary I don't know the meaning, he explained it very clearly so I could understand well. Because he chose topic which I am interested in, I enjoyed reading the article. Also I learned several new words. Thank you teacher Mark! See you again.

Today, I made an essay about "If you could implement a new law in your country, what would it be and why?" and Mark reviewed and corrected it.
Some of what I learned are
* I should basically put adverbs before verbs.
* When I use "certain" or "sure" such as "It might be certain that....", I have to clearly state the reasons or evidences. Unless I have clear evidences, I should describe "It might be possible that...."
* Political parties can have donations from corporations. have → accept
These corrections are really helpful for me not to make same mistatkes.
Also, I enjoy listening Mark's thoughtful ideas and wide-range information. See you next time!

Today we talked about education of Englis in Japan. It is often said that many Japanese people aren't active in discussion in English because of feeling embarassed imagining the case of making mistakes in English. But Mark advised me that experiencing many chances to speak in English makes us more confident and with confidence we can speak more fluently. Exactly, I agree with his advice. I'll keep on my speaking training persistently wishing I could express my ideas exactly. Thank you, Mark for your encouraging advice and helpful lessons. See you next time.

I really enjoyed talking with him. He told me some proverb. That is very intereipsting to me and that is what I want to learn! I am going to keep taking his class.

Today, Mark reviewd the latter part of my essay "Are the second and third generation immigrants discriminated against in today's society?" This theme was difficult, but I could gather information regarding this by checking some websites. Mark paraphrased some sentences to make them clearer and more sophisticated. That's fabulous. Thank you for your exact and tidy suggestions and adivice.

I asked him to help me with my speech and he carefully pointed out improvements he could think of. As usual, I thank him for his sincerity. But unfortunately our skype connection today was a bit unstable so he disconnected the line once, but soon after we were able to resume. That's why I put 4 stars today. Mark, I have never been in small towns, and cannot imagine how life would be in a town whose population is only 2000. Thanks to the internet technology, we can enjoy movies or books, and even work without living in cramped environment. However, a most urgent matter for me would be lack of restaurants or convenience stores. What could I eat without such professional help? I would be starved... I hope you yourself are a descent cook!
