Thank you for another fun lesson today!
According to the article you sent me, the two parties connected to the Moro Islamic Liberation Front did not win a majority in the Bangsamoro parliamentary election. So, it seems that the peace process in the region is still uncertain.
I was surprised to learn that Japan has been supporting peace in Mindanao through ODA since 1994, and that peace talks were held in Narita in 2011. I had no idea about this!

Today, we discussed whether so-called “dual pricing” for foreign tourists is a good approach or not.

For now, I think I can accept it to some extent. However, I think it should only apply to facilities or services that are provided mainly with public money or tax revenue.

At the same time, we should also consider fairness between foreign tourists and Japanese tourists who come from other parts of Japan.

Bill, in today’s lesson, I talked about how a line storm caused severe flooding in several cities in Chiba Prefecture, affecting many people.
To be honest, I hadn’t realized until now just how terrifying line storms can be, but this disaster really brought home just how dangerous they are.

Today's lesson was about self-driving delivery robots and taxis in Los Angeles. Compared with the U.S. and China, Japan has been lagging behind in introducing this technology. However, the Japanese government aims to have 10,000 self-driving taxis, buses, and trucks in service by 2030. So, it won't be long before I get to ride in a self-driving taxi.
