This was our first lesson. As I asked her to talk about food waste, we discussed food waste. First I explained the outline of my research work about food waste prevention policies. After that, she asked me many questions and suggested some issues. We talked about reasons to generate food waste, government policy for food waste reduction, breeding about eating habits, school education about food labeling and food waste, Filipino situation about food, etc. She facilitated our discussion very well, and at the same time, she pointed out my failures using message box of skype without saying it aloud. My skype application in my mobile phone shows them to me as pop-up massages. It's a very good method for English conversation lesson, I thought. Thank you very much, Deth. See you. |

We read the article about capital punishment. I've never known that 2/3 of the world nations have abolished the death penalty and EU has requested that Japan should abolish the system. I could learn a lot of crime-related words and expressions. Mark also gave me inspiring questions making me talk a lot. Thank you, Mark for offering exciting topics and information as always. See you soon. |

We read the speech of President Trump's inauguration, then talked about the future of the U.S. and the world. It appears gloomy, but we should be positive to find any new chance to lead the society to be peaceful. Max always gives me inspiring questions and It's very enjoyable talking. Also his paraphrases for my expressions to make them more natural are really helpful. Thank you, Max! |

We talked about the past few days and continued over some idioms, such as "to weigh one's options" and "to keep one's options open." I would like to be able to use these phrases naturally on conversation. I will try hard. Thank you :) |
