I enjoyed talking with you again. Still sometimes I feel "how should I say?" but I am getting used to talking anyway in a warm and welcome atmosphere. Thank you for your assistance. |

This was our first lesson. We began with some small talk about Kyoto and so on. Then we went into an article about food waste. We discussed along some questions on the materials. Thank you, Karen. See you. |

I appreciate your help as usual. You gave some sentences after hearing my expressions. I think it was a very nice way to understand how I could improve my English expression. You sent them in concise, correct and natural English sentences. Thanks a lot. |

Today, I learned “hullabaloo (=uproar)”. At first, I think it is kind of onomatopoeia, but later I know the word comes from native American’s lunguage. As you may know, Japanese language has many onomatopoeia, and all of us like it. Japanese often use it in daily conversation. Moreover you can find millions of sound effects (a kind of onomatopoeia) in almost every manga comics. For example “zawa…zawa…” means when many people whispered each other with shock. (“KAIJI” Nobuyuki Fukumoto) One more example, “Zugyuuuuuunnnn!” was used when the nice guy suddenly kissed heroine.(“JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE” Hirohiko Araki). I can’t explain all of them correctly. But I love it after all. |

You were very helpful. Thank you so much. It is good to learn English not just from people in the US. In fact, English is spoken by more people from countries other than the US. It was a good lesson! |

It's been a while since our last lesson so we caught up with each other and I explained to Daisy how I adopted my cats. She and I are both cat lover, so it's fun to talk to her about my cats. After the catching up we read the transcript of Suits. Daidy is so intelligent and knows everything about English. As always I was so impressed by her. The words and expressions I learned today include "getting the shaft" "come through" "being tight" "My bad!" (my favorite) and "bomb". We also view a funny video and laughed a lot. Thank you Diasy! |

Today we read Lesson 28 (Bank Transactions) and 29 (Purchasing) and practice how to use the phrases "by no means" and "be anxious about". Though Max suggests that "be worried about" or "be concerned about" should be used instead of "be anxious about" in the example sentences as "be anxious about" is more like "be nervous about". I also learned words such as sturdy, on display, looking at, take lightly. Thank you Max! |

I tried to make a speech with simple words and make a point clearly by Kenneth's advice. That worked well. I still struggle with speaking in the way, but I felt better to organize a speech. Furthermore, he kindly corrected my expression and told me what I want to say with quick typing. Thank you for helpful and effective lesson, Ken. See you next time. |
