Few decades ago, when I return to my office, we had a heavy sunder shower. I couldn’t see 10m away, so I took the shelter in Nissey theatre, where the center of Tokyo, next to the Teikoku hotel. Rain drops redoubled in a short time, the cross road in front of the theatre was covered with water. The depth of water was more than 50cm in very short time. I was nothing to do but watch the water go deeper. In front of the theatre, Mercedes and Porsche were parked. When water level exceeded 50 cm, two car began to float. Then the drivers got off the car, and evacuated. They were floated few minutes, then began to sink. Even in the central Tokyo can happen the flood. |

The taste of Japanese soba (kind of noodles, made from buckwheat and pure water) is little bit hard to explain. It has slight but savory taste. We eat it with soba source. I recommend you add a wasabi (Japanese horseradish) into source. That simple cuisine attracts many Japanese. The chef “Y”, former businessman, quit his job and began to study how to make soba when he ate the soba cooked one of chef living the mountain area. He said soba can give deep impression for many people. His sheer persisted soba gets famous without any advertising. Last Friday, I invited two foreign guys for the dinner. They are vegetarian, so I choose Y’s restaurant. As soon as they ate it, both of them said “Marvelous!” After dinner, they said, “This is the best cuisine I have ate in Japan!” True to his intention, his soba gives deep impression to people who living quite different culture. |

Hi Nix, it’s great to see you again. We fully enjoyed several small talks while reading news. Most of kids are naughty, so we should understand their pure mind and train them not to do mischief by talking. Discipline using violence for kids is same with bullying. The description you chose told us discipline using violence caused just sad ending. I think resolution by talking is important for us in all problems. I’m so glad to share same opinion in both of us. Nix, thank you very much as usual. Today’s topics were also interesting. I'm really excited to see you. |
