Today's lesson was our first one. We began with our self-introduction. We talked about her Kyoto life since we are living in Kyoto now. After that, we started to discuss food waste issues. I explained notorious Japanese business practice, so called "1/3 rule". We also talked about food bank activities. She asked me about these topics effectively and I had a good exercise to explain them in English. Thank you, Mika. See you!

Teacher Mika is charming and easy to talk with. Her half-Japanese heritage is understandable because of her name, Mika, and her complextion. She is now living in Kyoto as an exchage student from Philippines, so I hope that she will have good memories in Japan! I hope that I can talk with her again in the near future!
