Vlada, later I noticed I forgot to tell you that I watched two movies you recommended: Arrival and Logan. The former is thought-provoking but I guess the novel version is better, with more detailed explanation. The latter reminds me of Kodure-Ohkami, a famouse old Japanese TV period program. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lone_Wolf_and_Cub). Violent, but good-in-heat father and a child. Splattering blood. If you have a chance, please have a look on that too. Also, I was surprised to learn later that the white guy was Stephen Merchant. Why does everyone speak in British accent in the future? |

Thank you for today's nice lesson. We talked about divorce. According to the American researchers, Divorces have seasons. It is quite difficult to trust, but it was so funny. See you next time!! |

Vlada, according to Wikipedia, the day of Singularity might come in 2040: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technological_singularity. It is only 23 years from now. We both need to think (well, I might need not) how we can make ends meet at that time, while people can communicate freely in their own languages, with a little help from IT technology. If we are really lucky (or unlucky), the world might be like that in Matrix, and we just keep slumbering and do not need to worry about anything. Brave new world! |
