Today's article was about Mexican culture.
We talked about the cultural differences between Mexico and Japan, and also discussed how important it is to respect each culture. Having said that, it's hard to understand other cultures sometimes, but all in all, we agreed that we shouldn't be so judgmental against other cultures you're not familiar with, because this is not about right or wrong, but all cultures are just "different".

This article was good for me as I learned new vocabularies and they're all very useful :-)
Max always gives me detailed explanations about each new word (e.g. if the word is formal/informal, if it's used in casual conversation/business settings, if it's commonly used or not, etc.), so I understand when/how these words are/should be used.

I enjoyed talking with Mark. The relative poverty rate in Japan has been rising up since second half of 1990s. That is a big and difficult problem for Japan.

The lesson topic we did was tougher than I thought. But it was definitely a good lesson for me. Thank you! I may want to do it again some day!

Today, I made an essay and Max corrected it by pointing grammatical mistakes and changing some phrases into natural expressions. Furthermore, advice that repeating same words should be avoided is very helpful.

We had a cherry blossom wiewing on SKYPE today. Japan streches from south to north,and blooming of the cherry trees varies from region to region. Here in Hokkaido this is the last chance to enjoy it. In the role-playing scenario,I invited Max to the potluck party.

For me, this is a new method to try and as I said to you many times, it is a little bit shameful to use strong intonations when I talk since I'm not get used to it, but I understand it's a normal thing to use intonations when we talk. Except this part, I really enjoyed it. I like to think about what is a behind story. To think about something deeply and carefully, and again and again, is a good attitude to learn something from everything.
