Today's topic reminds me of the disaster which happened 2 months ago in Japan. We live on the small land with a lot of volcanoes,and there are always possibilities of hard times. But Japanese people are resilient,and we are just going on.

Thank you Mark. The topic you chose is very timely and familiar in Japan. I hope IT engineers and seismologist tie up and develop the app which predict exactly when and where an earthquake happens early enough we prepare for evacuation.

Today's lesson was terrible but Max kept encouraging me with warm words. And we both concluded that problems are good even though we hate them. It's been a while, but great lesson as normal. He has hands-on business experience and the expressions he suggested are real eye-openers for me. Please say hello to your sweet Mapacha!

Max asked me to make sentenses by using important new expressions that I learned before. Despite (or maybe because of )my overnight cramming, many phrases I was supposed to remember turned out NOT to have resigtered me at all... By the next review, I will have remember and master those expressions much better, if not fully ;-)

Today, Max corrected my essay reagading electronic voting. He suggested me a lot of great tips such as preventing same words. For example, voting can be differently expressed into participate in political process (or election), citizen turnout and casting a ballot. These expressions can be understood in the context of a passage, but difficult to use in writing process. He always explain the use of words precisely and they are easy to understand and I catch the meaning by the image not by Japanese.

Today, I chose the article "North Korea's nuclear program" and summrized it. At first, Max explained the points that I can't understand, then I summarized it. while I was struggling to do the task, he kindly taught me the right expressions. Trying a challenging work is a heavy burden, but completing it is comfortable and a good practice to train my brain circuit. Repeating and practising is the best way to improve my skills, I think.
