Reviewing what I learned before was truly useful and making a little--just a little;-) digression was really fun!

I enjoyed his lesson today, too! I was quite relaxed today. We've been using stories Max prepared and each story has an underlying message so I can learn not only English but also insights to be a better person. I really enjoy talking about those things with Max. Thank you for the lesson, Max. I had a good time! I'll try to make the atmosphere of the meeting enjoyable!! It's going to be a positive meeting!!

We talked about an impossible dream today. I wish I could have a DOKODEMO door! We can find it in a Japanese cartoon DORAEMON. He is a plump cat and he can go anywhere with it!

Today, I chose the article "Donald Trump vs Muslims" and summarized it.
Max explained some words and sentences that cleared my insufficient understanding. Also he gave me some alternative expressions which are more common. I've decided to try to expressi with more common words and phrases, not persist in usins the words in an article. Thank you, Max for usual great lesson!

For two consecutive days, we tried the same Q&Q type of lessons on two completely differnt topics. Either type was useful for me to improve my English skills and I was able to see on which type I need to work on harder. Thank you, Max and see you very soon!

Thank you for your comments, Mark. The proverb“All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.”is very convincing. I have two aspects, sharing both this American mind and workaholic Japanese mind. My reality sometimes contradicts my ideal. I try to keep my mind as open as possible.

People have variety in appearance, language, customs and value, it brings pleasure and surprise when we find some similarities or universal values. We can also share the essentials. This articles reminds me of those things!

It was nice that I could open this long-time-waited-file and almost finish it. Two idiomatic expression that I learn today are interesting because we have similar kind of expression(Actions speak louder than words, and Add insult to injury) in Japanese, so it was easy to find out what these mean. To know something in common is always nice!!
