Hi Mayumi-san, nice to see you again:) Thank you so much for always your wonderful lessons. It was really fun to take your lesson as always. It is the happiest time to be with you in my life.
First, we talked about the jokes I made in my speech club meeting. As you said, jokes are very difficult, especially for Japanese people. I always feel Japanese have a difficult sense of humor than Americans at watching American TV commedy shows. The point of laughter is a little bit different, right? I will try to make something very simple and stupid the next time. Look foward to it!
We then talked about the first impression. As you said, if you are happy and you can be confident because of the surgery, I think it's O.K. to take it as well. However, while appearance is important, how you behave becomes far more important as time progresses. If you look the part but fail to do what you have been asked or are bad-tempered and difficult, then no amount of image makeovers will help you succeed. The key to defining your brand is to pay attention to every element of the image you project. If you do so, I think your actions are consistent and acceptable to the majority of people.

In the time for yesterday's lesson, I knew peperoncino being Aglio e olio peperoncino for the first time ^o^
Then, I worked on Eiken. It came that Kara and Gina were very close. As an important word came out a lot, I review it well (*^_^*)
As it is a story of the mayor in the time for next lesson, I look forward to it. I want to get along while arranging it in a head as I work on Grammar book p(^_^)q
I will cook a blueberry mousse and a cookie tomorrow. I made a berry mousse (a strawberry and blueberry) just a little while ago. It succeeded. It was very delicious (#^.^#)

We talked about parenting. I agree with what you say that the most important thing is that you show you love your children and you show you care for them.
Generally speaking, children need parents who can provide love and support as well as discipline, which requires parents understand their child's feelings.
However, according to a 2012 American study, we aren't as good at understanding our children as we might think. Parenting can be wonderful, but there's no question that it can be stressful as well. Love is crucial in families, but it sometimes helps to turn down your feelings a notch. Research suggests that parents who feel the deepest empathy for their children may not be the best at nurturing them.
In other words, appropriate emotional boundaries are important for parents and for children. Not overreacting to your child's distress, but helping them to manage their emotions, is a more supportive, effective approach. Children benefit from a parent who can not only sympathize, but also model a calmer mood for them.
I strongly believe that you are a wonderful parent.

First, we talked about a YouTuber talking about 10 surprising things in the U.S. Above all, many English learners including me are not good at undestanding the measurements such as the yard-pound system, Fahrenheit and so on. I am also not good at reading number because digit separators are different in Japan and the U.S. And so, now, I am reading the book, Practical Manual: Quantitative Expressions in English. I want to be good at quantitative expressions.
Then we talked about your personal story. When I heard your wonderful personal story, I thought you're really wonderful. You have positive attitude, consideration for others, gratitude to others and things like that. Your way of life is wonderful, I think. I have so much respect for you. You are my inspiration. It was a very interesting topic about life and I enjoyed it veru much as well.
