I scheduled two lessons in a row. The Japanese government decided to make an emergency grant available. The emergency grant relief was supplied directly to the Myanmar people via the UNHCR, WFP, and UNICEF agencies. However, the humanitarian situation in Myanmar has worsened, with many Myanmar nationals suffering a harsh existence with no way out due to the coup's economic standstill and the development of the new coronavirus.

The article we read was on China-Myanmar ties, emphasizing pipelines. China deepens its links with authoritarianism in Myanmar, where democracy is declining. If China succeeds in promoting the fall of democracy and the consolidation of authoritarianism in Myanmar, the tendency may spread to other countries. With the growth of the BRI, Myanmar is on the way to the Indian Ocean for China, and it is gaining strategic relevance as the conflict between the U.S. and China heats up.

An article we read discussed Myanmar's military dictatorship and its economic activity. Notably, even before the coup, the UN considered Tatmadaw's commercial operations an issue. According to the study, the military junta has used the earnings of its economic operations to conduct human rights atrocities. Therefore, it recommended that UN member states immediately impose sanctions on Tatmadaw-run enterprises and instead partner them with non-military companies.

Reading an article, we discussed the G20 foreign ministers' conference in Bali. Russia understandably felt alone throughout the conference. To put it another way, G20 members were not on the same page; the G20 is not a permanent body, and its decisions are not legally enforceable. Moreover, members of the BRICKs coalition have not taken a position against Russia inside G20. On the other hand, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken addressed Russia directly and asked Moscow to allow Ukrainian grain to reach the rest of the world, declaring, "Ukraine is not your country."

The item we read was about Thailand's foreign ties with China and the United States. Thailand has shifted away from China and toward the United States, joining the United States-led Indo-Pacific Economic Framework. This is due to Thailand's disdain for China's foreign policies. The train, for example, has made little progress. Thailand has increased its trade imbalance with China, while Laos has completed a debt-equity exchange to satisfy late railway loan payments. Thai authorities see China as encircling Thailand. Thailand declined to replace a submarine's German engine with a Chinese-made one.

Thank you for informing me of a fascinating story about the recently elected Philippine President Marcos Jr. It is worth noting that being a one-term president does not make him a lame duck even at the end of his term in 6 years, but rather empowers him since he does not have to worry about re-election.

We read an article about a UN expert who had just returned from Malysia. He underlined that ASEAS member nations should work with NUG to find a solution to the Myanmar situation. Malaysia is eager to find a solution to the crisis in Myanmar, which is still run by a military junta that seized power in a coup. Malaysia has abandoned the ASEAN ideal of "non-interference in domestic matters" in favor of a strategy of "non-indifference."

We talked about various things.
When I’m talking in English, I mixup using the pass tense and the present tense subconsciously. He taught me the point immediately when it sound weird. In the way he notices me, is a super great timing. And also he won’t cut the flow.
