I read an article aloud and then went back and rephrase each sentence using useful expression Dilhara picked up in the article. It's difficult to find unnecessary parts and make a sentence shorter with minimum words. He helped me by giving me examples and hints.
I want to try summarizing some articles by myself to get used to it.

Dilhara prepared an article for the lesson and I read it out loud. Then summarized each sentence using different expression. It was difficult to express short sentence in another way. But he showed me examples, so gradually I understood better. It was difficult lesson but I feel I will improve by doing this, so I want to keep on trying.

I felt that he is very good honest teacher. When he knew my English level, he has spoken slowly so that I can listened his speak. And he listened my poor English while checking my English skill. Dilhara-sensei introduced me some places in Australia, which are worth visiting. Especially
he gave me some information about the city where he lives. He says it is the best time to visit there in June, July and August, when it is summer in Japan. I really hope to visit there.

We did a rephrasing practice using an article from the Breaking News English. Dilhara showed me his own rephrased versions and I learned that changing a subject and object is also useful strategy, by which we can change what is emphasized. I enjoyed today's lesson. Thank you Dilhara.

This was my first time to take Dilhara's lesson. We introduced each other and talked about overwork in Japan and about "premium Friday". He taught me effective way to study fluent English that to learn expression as a phrase. It will help me to improve my fluency which is my goal. There were a lot to gain through the lesson in 25mins.
Also he listened to me carefully and patiently.

Today I did the repharsing practice with Dilhara using a Breaking News English article as we did the last time. I've found that rephrasing paraglaphs using useful expressions identified was really a good practice because by doing so I forced myself to use expressions including the ones which I had never used before, or otherwise would never use in the future. I'm sure that this kind of exercise will help extend my vocabraries. Thank you Dilhara! Have a good day!
