We looked at a piece of writing that discussed the unique connection that Japan has with Myanmar. After the military takeover in Myanmar, Japan has continued to have amicable ties with the ruling junta and has refrained from imposing any sanctions on the country.

The Myanmar national army's crackdown resulted in a huge number of fatalities. According to the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners, a Myanmar human rights group, the post-coup crackdown resulted in over 2,000 dead and over 10,000 prisoners. The AAPP validated the estimates; the true amounts were thought to be significantly higher.

An article we read discussed Myanmar's prospective constitution revision. In 2008, the military established a new constitution, assuming key cabinet posts and claiming a quarter of parliament seats. The coup was a slap in the face to Japan, which had sent observers and found the election to be fairly fair.

According to the news we read, the Myanmar dictatorship purchases Russian armaments in order to oppress Myanmar citizens and minorities. Myanmar fighters attacked Thailand's airspace around two weeks ago. The fighters were built in Russia, whereas Thailand's were F-35s made in the United States, implying a proxy conflict. We read an article on Myanmar's foreign affairs. The inclusive conversation is improbable without more pressure on the junta, and neither the NUG nor the PDF is interested in talks. The NUG is notable for welcoming various ethnic minorities into its executive; the shadow cabinet includes representatives from minorities. Conversely, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken criticizes ASEAN members for being slow to intervene against Myanmar's dictatorship. He is also worried about China's increasing influence in Southeast Asia.

自分で作った自己紹介英文を練習したい旨最初にお伝えし、レッスンしていただきました。

用意した文章をある程度しゃべると、適宜質問を入れていただけたので、その場で考え発話することもでき、自信に繋がりました。

始めてネイティブの先生とお話するのでとても緊張していましたが、Emily先生は優しく朗らかに接してくださったので、とても楽しいレッスンになりました。

I booked two lessons in a row. First, we practiced two IELTS mock tests, which were hard for me, but I gave it my best shot. Then, we talked a bit about Emily's new life while listening to prayers coming from a Muslim mosque.

I practiced IELTS speaking. Emily was kind enough to correct my unnatural expressions and let me know the synonyms. I sincerely hope you enjoy your stay in the country.

I booked two lessons in a row. We enjoyed free conversation again, whose topic this time was noise. There's a lot of foot traffic, which is why I often get a breather to go to a park from the city's noise. As for the last question, juvenile training schools were the right word for young criminals to be reintegrated into society. Enjoy the rest of the Golden Week!

I enjoyed our free conversation, whose topic was drink, friends, and family. Since graduate school, my best friend and I have known each other, and my brother and I grew up together. My mother was a piano teacher and asked my brother to tutor me in English. According to my observation, he is skilled at using smartphones and PCs, which is why he helps me out when I have difficulties with my electronics. Sadly, grown children tend to move out.

We started the class by catching up with each other: my move, her recent trip to the U.S., and the current state of my ongoing plan for a new house.
Then, she brought up the topic of cooking since she knew I like cooking. We covered various things centered around food: the taste of our mother's cooking, how to decide the day's menu, our favorite cuisine, etc.
25 minutes wasn't enough to cover the subject, but I enjoyed our conversation.

I had two lessons in a row. This time, our topic was evening and a dream; "play hoops" is a useful expression. I also spoke of my publication of an English book in Singapore - the theme is a biography of a former Japanese prime minister whom I admire. Finally, I'll think about the future that modern technology will create!

Thank you, Emily! We practiced IELTS speaking, whose topic was computers and clothing - I learned the word of notebook for a laptop. Then I talked about a coffee shop; the franchise store is nice and cozy.

「こう言うことを伝えたいんだけど、説明が長くなり過ぎてしまう。実際現地ではどんな表現するか」などと、2人で気軽に話しています。また引き続き、レッスンを受けて行きたいと思います。

I love her lessons. I always forget most of the words which are in my head. They don’t come out immediately! So, I’ve been looking for a good way to find my words easily.
I showed my word list. And then she praised me about it! I’ll try and see using the sticky notes!
