It's been 7 days since I last took an English lesson. I enjoyed the class with Mark.
We talked a lot about wild animals that lives in the mountain near his garden. I didn't think it is hot like
summer.
Mark is very kind and let me speak things in English.Thank you.

We continued reading an article from the last two lessons entitled 'I was a teacher for 17 year but couldn't read or write'. Because th article was a story, it was easy to understand. But still there were new words for me so I asked Mark to explain them to me. He uses examples when he describes meaning so it always helps me understand correctly.

Today, we chose some topics at random. The word "peace" is naturally used about the world issue not about our daily life, he explaind to me. Such a sense about how to choose words is really difficult and the reason why I sometimes hesitate to use words. Mark's explanation about word's definition is understandable and interesting to feel the word's meaning. And he introduced "food for thought". He always gives me coloful food for thought and I enjoy it which broaden my mind. Thank you, Mark. See you next time.

We continued reading an article entitled 'I was a teacher for 17 year but couldn't read or write'. There were new words and expressions and Mark described them for me. He explained not only the meaning of each word but he gave me example sentences and also described how the word was used in the article. So I could learn new words and expressions deeply.

Today, Mark chose me very interesting article about sleeping time. There are some words related to sleep such as "early bird""night owl""late-nighter""early riser""late riser""morning lark". I'm a night owl and I've decided to be a morning lark to stay healthy.

Today, Mark chose me the article about California's drastic decision to mandate solar panels on new homes and buildings built after 2020. It's a epock-making decision to acceralate change from fossil-fuel or nuclear energy to renewable energy. Taking actions make our society better even if there are still problems. Mark always gives me some inspiring ideas and questions and I can practice to organize my ideas. I really enjoy his flexisible ideas and inspiring information. See you next lesson.

It was a shocking but important article Mark chose me. I din't know how Japanese birth rate has been decreasing and the serious problems would happen in Japanese society in the future. However, in the Japanese media, this news almost has been reported so far. Is it because of pressure from the government?
Anyway, I could practice well how to organize my ideas. And Mark kindly explained my unfamiliar words and phrases to understand easily as always. It is fun time to get new words, news and ideas.
