Hitomi先生の英語は完全にネイティブです。
今日は、日本人的な言葉を英語ではなんと言うのか、教えてもらいました。そういうのは、辞書には載っていませんが、ものすごくわかりやすく、例文もいくつかあげて、教えてもらいました。ニュアンスの違いを丁寧にわかりやすく教えてくださいます。ネイティブの先生もいい先生が多いですが、英語も日本語もベラベラのHitomi先生の存在は貴重です。やさしいところも大好きです。

I talked with Ellen for the first time. We started with knowing each other. She asked me about my job. It was very difficult for me to explain what I do exactly, but I think that was natural and stimulating conversation. She was very kind to have encouraged and tried to understand me. In our lesson, we read an article aboout an Australian artist, Sydney Nolan. I didn't know him very well but I enjoyed it because Michelle made some interesting comments on that. I hope I'll be fine when I see her next time. My voice was a little terrible because of a cold today!

We talked about some culture difference between U.S and Japan. I was surprised at seeing the word FUTON which is used in U.S. And last topic was about metric system and English system. That was good info for me. Chris is always good at leading the conversation.
