We practiced reading and pronunciation. I also learned some new words and phrases: engagement (which has several meaning including social gathering and commitment), minefield (means delicate issue), out of order(means inappropriate), etc. I learned a lot today. I appreciate Max that you always listen me carefully and correct my pronunciation and usage of English as needed, which is very helpful. Thank you!

It was great talking to you Katherine. I was late a couple of minutes for the lesson as I was busy doing laundry for my husband who was sick with too much drinking. I enjoyed answering the questions on the dialogue as always. Thank you Katherine. I am looking forward to seeing you next time!

We practiced the new words I learned in this dialogue: no-no, unobtrusively (for which Max suggested discretely is more common), tough call, etc. I also learned a new expression, "go against my own wishes", which seems quite useful. Thank you Max!

It was my first lesson on Skype, I was nervous but could feel relaxed because you talked to me very friendly.
When I couldn't understand you well, you used chat box, too, it was very nice for me! I will check the film "Martian" :)

Your lesson is always good. I can not only learn English, but broarden my horizons because you tell me lots of curious cultures. I was astonished that you know Maximum Hormone. Actually, I take to the word,"cheesy". It was difficult for me to explain foemation of cheerleading.

毎回楽しいレッスンをしてくれるので、息子もJohn先生のレッスンが大好きです。
毎回フリートークで、息子のやりたいようにレッスンをしていただいていますが、John先生は、いろいろと話を広げてくれますし、絵を描いてくれたり、写真を見せてくれたりするので、息子は、とても楽しんでいます。
毎回2コマ連続で取っているのにも関わらず、レッスンがあっという間に過ぎ、息子は、もっと喋りたい!!と言うほど。
おかげで息子の語彙も、どんどん増えています。
