I enjoyed your lesson. We read "Velveteen Rabbit". I looked up many words to read one page. I liked the way to read it together -when I didn't understand, you explained kindly. I was happy. Thank you very much! See you soon. |

Very fun and good lesson for my daughter today too. Thank you very much. The questions you ask her are very nice to get her attention and make her feel fun, comfortable and motivated to speak. Hope that we could continue this way for some more lessons and then seek the opportunity to try some workbook for reading comprehension or vocabularies. Looking forward to seeing you soon. |

Thank you for your comment on my lesson, Wendy. Your comment brightened my day. Sorry that I couldn't fix my Skype camera during the lesson. I had talked with my husband on Skype right after the lesson and I could see myself perfectly. Let's see what happens next time. Take care and see you again soon. |

I tried a new lesson style : read an article sent during lesson and talk about it without any preparation, instead of receiving an article in advance.Today, I sweated a lot because it was tough to summarize even short paragraphs impromptu. As a result, my English became broken so much and I spoke less than usual. But he was warm and patient.I will try to speak more ,not being overwhelmed next time. However,it seems a good exercise to enhance quick response ability. Therefore, I am wondering which style is suitable for me. I will consult him. By the way, he knows what words in articles are unfamiliar on my level. I felt again that he is an experienced teacher. And I always appreciate his useful feedback where you will find how much he concentrates on his students’ speaking. |

Thank you for your article today. I'll read it later.I'd like to do this article next lesson. |

Today's article was about Mexican culture. We talked about the cultural differences between Mexico and Japan, and also discussed how important it is to respect each culture. Having said that, it's hard to understand other cultures sometimes, but all in all, we agreed that we shouldn't be so judgmental against other cultures you're not familiar with, because this is not about right or wrong, but all cultures are just "different". This article was good for me as I learned new vocabularies and they're all very useful :-) Max always gives me detailed explanations about each new word (e.g. if the word is formal/informal, if it's used in casual conversation/business settings, if it's commonly used or not, etc.), so I understand when/how these words are/should be used. Thank you Max as always, and see you next time! |
