She always keep her smile when I said would you please repeat again, again and again.It was difficult to catch on some words.So I hope to try her lesson again.

聞こえているのに、途中で意味がわからなくなってしまう会話が多くて、恐らく1つの文章の長さが長いのだと思いました。衝撃的でとても勉強になりました。またサラ先生と会話をして克服していきたいです。

Today, I explained our custom of O-Bon (one of Japanese custom for worship the spirits of ancestors). She talked her similar custom like a O-bon. To my surprise, there is quite similar custom. During Halloween season, she usually put the cushion for her ancestors under the candle lantern. It is all the same our O-bon custom for prepare the zabuton (Japanese cushion) under the paper lantern. This custom is based on animism, folk faith of ancient Japan. I don’t know why such old custom is quite similar to Philippine custom which being continued today.
She added another Halloween season custom. On that season, they usually picnic to their cemetery. In Japan, only Okinawa area (southeast end of Japan) have the custom similar to that. There are over 1000km distance from Philippine to Okinawa, over 1500km to Tokyo. I think our ancestors were traveled far away than we thought.
