I read an article aloud and then went back and rephrase each sentence using useful expression Dilhara picked up in the article. It's difficult to find unnecessary parts and make a sentence shorter with minimum words. He helped me by giving me examples and hints.
I want to try summarizing some articles by myself to get used to it.

Today teacher Frouliane and I were discuss about the ability of animals. Teacher Frouliane said she had heard from her grandmother that small animals can detect the big earthquake before it had occurred. I have heard same stories too. In Japan, there is a sayings about earthquake “When a catfish act up, earthquake will comes”. In Japan, we have few big earthquakes in score of years, I have heard many strange behavior of the animals. One woman meets the many crows caw violently in front of her house, and the other guy reported his dog had badly terrified in the night of before big earthquake. The relationship of earthquake and animals strange behaviors haven’t been clarified, but many people believes these animals have the sense organ which human kinds don’t know yet. I agree it.

My son is a beginner, but Nik was very patient to wait for his answer to come out of his mouth. And to my surprise, Nik didn't let my son ask my help, and he tried to make my son speak all by himself. I've tried many Skype lessons and it was my first time to meet a teacher who tried to talk only between a teacher and a student without Japanese language and anyone's help. Nik explained everything to my son all in English until he understood, and he picked up stories which my son must b interested, which, I think, caught my son's heart. I'm glad that my son asked me to have Nik's lesson one more time. Thank you and see you soon.
