It is always fun to take your class. Although I can't remember all the idioms I learnt, it's very interesting to know. I will try to use some of them. |

I'm glad to take her lesosn again after some absence because of my PC breakdown. I made sure she is the best teacher again when I found she noticed my slight hesitation in using the same nouns repeatedly and proposed another word for it. I appreciate her understanding me. |

Today I made a speech about "More than 70% of Japan consists of mountains, including more than 200 volcanoes." I expressed that how luckly we have a lot of great nature, we have to protect the forests and we need to prepare for earthquakes and stop nuclear power plants to avoid devastate nuclear accidents and envirnnmental pollution caused by nuclear accidents. Ken corrected my sentences and gave me new expressions as usual. I really appreciate his enthusiastic lessons. See you next time,Ken! |

I really had a great time, Daph, as always! It's so fun and comfortable for me to have free conversations with you. Besides your helping me with English (like new words/expressions, error corrections etc), your talk really helps and motivates me to try more to be able to express myself in English. Thanks a lot as always ! |

The 7th July is a star festival in Japan. In ancient China, people believed Vega and Altair was loved each other, but they prohibited to meet except today. If today is sunny, we cerebrates their meetings otherwise they can’t meet due to flooding of milky way. We decorate the bamboo tree with various ornaments and colorful papers which was wrote the personal wishes. In my home town, there are many bamboo bushes, we made a big ornaments for celebrate the star festival every year. This custom was introduced to Japan in 8th centtury. Although we can’t see the Vega or Altair not to mention the milky way, we still cerebrate the star festival. |

I learnt the interest phrases “the light is killed”. I was surprised how to use the word “kill”. I may use the word “put out” or “turn off” when I put the light out. I asked her “How are the light killed? How do I kill the light?” Then, she burst out laughing. I like such intuitive expression in English, but I think I can just learn in real conversation. I will never forget the expression. Nix, thank you so very much. I really had valuable time with you. See you soon! |
