In the first half of the lesson, I asked him to check English in my essays. After that, we talked about my essays. His explanation is always clear and easy to understand. I appreciate your kindness. |

Today, I talked about "Have you been in the midst of danger before?" I described the fact that I was hit from the back by a motorcycle a few years ago when I was riding on the bicycle" My speech was too long to make listeners understood easily. I felt I should organize my speech more concisely and I wished I could close my speech with punchline to give it impressions. Ken kindly gave me a lot of better expressions to my speech. Thank you, Ken for your enthusiastic and encouraging lesson as always. See you next time. |

In the later half of our lesson we read an article about AI. I learned IBM's idea about AI. The company renamed AI as Cognitive Computing as they define AI as something helps us make better decisions based on correct data amid cognitive overload. By doing so the company seems to want to get people to understand AI does help us instead of doing harm to us in ways many people perceived. Also for AI to work in business, it needs to be able to learn things and keep being developed. Terry and I both admit that we feel a bit fear about the idea of an AI keeping trained and developed. It was an interesting article. Let's continue the article next time! Thank you Terry! |
