We mainly talked about M5.8 earthquake we had last week. It was the largest we had in ten years. 368000 were affected, were stuck in a train. There were temporary cut water supplies and power in some areas. Even we experienced the largest earthquake and Tsunami ten years ago, we are still susceptible to natural disasters. We talked about what kind of emergency stocks we should have. Also we talked about post doctors. Since the government has a limited amount of budget for studies, post doctors have to do office work on their own besides their studies and have limited amount of time for their studies. That's the reason why the number of thesis published is decreasing in Japan. |
