Today, I showed 4 pictures of cherry blossoms. There are over 200 kinds of cherry trees in Japan. I’ve never heard of that. I found 3 kinds of cherry trees in a park around my area. By the way, Peter-sensei taught me how to pronounce “s”, “sh”. I’d like to pronounce well this sentence. “ I slit the sheet, the sheet I slit, and on the slitted sheet I sit. ” Tomorrow I’ll take his lesson again. |

Thank you for another great lesson, Mellisa. We had a conversation about our shopping habits in this class, as I requested. Firstly, we started by catching up with each other, and I told her my complaints about the current condition of the internet connection. And then, we moved on to the main topic. We both have the same view on the Japanese e-commerce sites, which we've found uncomfortable to use. And I tried to explain why they have been so, taking one example site. Mellisa mentioned the danger of one company dominating the industry and her attempt to support local shops. I think we became lively over this topic, but there were moments when I felt frustrated about the scarcity of my vocabulary because I had a lot more to tell her. Thank you again, Mellisa. I think we could talk about this topic again. Take care until next time. |
