 I prepared a world map and asked Mehmet-sensei which part of Turkey he lives in. It’s “IZMIT” close to “Istanbul”. I heard a lot of thing about his home town from him. I showed my home town “Mito” and “Charm of Natto”. I’m very glad to know that Mehmet-sensei likes to eat natto. He is very interested in my picture story show about natto.

 I scheduled two consecutive classes for myself. This time, we were going to talk about doing something fun for entertainment. I spoke about my trip to the United States, during which I went to a museum and met with several acquaintances. Because my employer provided a grant for it, I did not have to pay an arm and a leg for it. In the end, we explored family business, a topic that was somewhat unrealistic and arduous to answer, but was nonetheless engaging to speak about.

Today we went through my essay about the consequences of an aging society. Chie thoroughly reviewed my essay, pointing out my mistakes mostly in the usage of articles, and suggesting some alternative words. She also told me how to make use of the translation feature of Google, which helps me find synonyms for the word I want to avoid.
