Today we continued a story by a British writer, V. Woof. Barry said that I made a progress in reading. I'm really happy to hear that, though I'm not so conscoius about it. I'll keep practicing because I still have a lot of things to correct. A fantastic lesson. |

In our lesson, we talked about "memory", using the internet material. This was my first lesson with her and I was a bit nervous. But she was kind enough to listen to me and told me her pleasant stories. At the end of the lesson, I asked her whether there's any tip to practice speaking. She gave me a piece of advice. We continued reading a story by Woolf. Today we not only practiced pronunciation & intontion but also talked about some words & expressions such as "fishmonger", "not a straw", "she sliced everything like a knife" and stuff like that. I'm really happy that I had a nice time with him. Good lesson and good start on Monday. |

Today, we had a small talk to get to know each other a bit to begin with, and then we moved on some reading practice using a webpage that Micheal chose. He accurately pointed out that I missed pronouncing plural "s" almost every time which I didn't even notice. In my opinion, having a teacher who isn't hesitant to correct students when they makes mistakes is both rare and immensely important. Love to continue taking his lessons! |
