 When I was little, my house was thatched house. The roof was made by straws of well dried Japanese pampas grasses. The roof was inclined at 45 degrees from the grand horizontal, so that prevent snow from being accumulated on the roof. The rooms were so cool that we didn’t have an electric fan not to mention an air conditioner. The rooms always feel cool, but not chilly in winter. But thatched roof needs to replace every 40 year. When my house replace its roof in 1920, many people living my village worked. Many people knew how to replace it, but the as thatched house decreased the number, people forget it. My father decided to rebuild when I was 5 years old. Today, I couldn’t express my former thatched house, so I wrote it with my dictionary.

 We did some catching up, where I talked Terry about graucoma. I explained him what's kind of symptoms I have and the treatment I've been having. I told him that maybe it's a good idea for him to see an eye doctor for an eye exam because most people with eye graucoma have no early sysmtoms or pain and he hasn't seen an eye doctor for many years. After the catch up we read the CNN article. I learned an expression "floating a solution" which means experimenting a solution. We discussed about some interesting topics such as fake news, good qualities of Presidents, role of media. I enjoyed our conversation. Thank you Terry!
