Dilhara listened my English very carefully and gave me some suggestions to improve my English. I really appreciate that. After the lesson, I did some research on referendum and LGBT community in Japan. I found that any changes to the constitution requires majority approval from public in referendum. And for LGBT issue, 7 cities and city wards in Japan have legalized same-sex partnership, which provides some of the benefits of marriage, though same-sex marriage is still illegal.
