Thank you Lyan for the nice lesson and hearing my story about the Shogi tornaments I participated in the weekend. As I mentioned in the class, I'm recently in a bad condition and tend to lose a game easily compared with my heyday. But I will do my best to win the championship in the next regional tornament next Monday.

For starters, we talked about the big typhoon that made landfall in Japan last week. I was relieved to hear that you are alright in Nagoya.
In the lesson, I learned some useful phrases "for starters""to die for""take your word for it".
Thank you for the lesson!

子供がレッスンを受けています。今回久しぶりでしたが、改めてとても良い先生だと思いました。日本語や日本のことが分かるので、とても有難いです。テキストを進める時もただ進めるのではなく、色々な質問を追加して、上手く話しかけるように質問して下さり、ヒアリングや受け答えの練習にもなります。落ち着いた性格でとても安定した授業をして下さると思います。It was a nice lesson ! I appreciate you always try to improvise some additional questions and talk to my daughter a lot. I also appreciate you explain grammar, phonics or words, anything you think we need to know.

Thank you for the lesson. I picked the news article about typhoon that hit Japan and we talked about natural disasters including the earthquake. You taught a lot of expressions in English and that was very helpful to me. See you next time!
