my original sentence was not bad.
1.) (x) He barely went see the doctor.
(/) He rarely went to the doctor.

Actually we can see some samples using the phrase 'go see a doctor' rather than 'go to see a doctor'.

 フリートークの授業でしたが、少し先生が話しすぎてこちらがあまり話せませんでした。友達とのような会話になってしまいます。あと、とても明るくて楽しい先生なのですが、身体をつねに左右に動かしているため、落ち着かず、見ていたら、車酔いのようになってしましました。画像も薄暗く見にくかったです。
