Sorry, I forgot this. As always, I was very satisfied with the lesson with you. I would definitely recommend to take your lesson if anyone is struggling with improving their middle-level conversation skill into the advanced level. A free conversation on the topic that we are interested in would be the best way. And you are one of the best conversation partners/teachers who can motivate us to keep on doing. |

Hi Mayumi-San, great to see you again:) Thank you so much for always wonderful and enjoyable lessons. I am happy when we spend time together. First, we talked about studying abroad. Looking back, it was not common so much for many university and high school students to study abroad when I was young. Especially, when I was a high school student, there is only AFS as a means of studying abroad and it was very competitive to pass the examination of AFS. How did you study abroad when you were a high school student? What's more, I was impressed that you overcame many difficulties in your study abroad life and so I respect you from my heart. Now, I am 67 years old and so it might be too late for me to study abroad. However, as they say, it's never too late to learn, I think. I would like to study abroad even now. It's my dream. I would like to hear your story of studying abroad more and more from you. Lastly, we talked about the book I am reading. Probabaly you also enjoyed it, right? Let's talk about it in the next lesson again. I'm looking forward to seeing you. I can't wait to see you. Take care and see you soon. |

Hi Adele, it was great to see you again. First, we talked about the upcoming Christmas and New Years holidays. As you know, Japan is not a Christian country, but many Japanese celebrate Christmas. Families and friends hold parties with cakes and nice foods. Along with the New Year holidays, it is a big event of the party season. Most Japanese do not go to the church for the Christmas mass. Christmas is not a holiday. If you think about it, it's weird, right? The non-Christian Japanese started celebrating Christmas from the early 20th century. Some people say that this is a "commercialized version of Christmas." By the way, until what age did you believe in Santa? Probably you know a famous story about Virginia O'hanlon in the US, which was about a hundred years ago and was published in The Sun, an American newspaper. I'm looking forward to seeing you and I can't wait to see you. See you soon. |
