I enjoyed talking about the temple (Oyama-iji or Tomiya Kannounn) where I visited with my husband last Sunday.
Three-story pagoda is a national cultural asset and very impressive.

Thank you very much for your trial lesson and kind message!
I'm very glad to hear your advice to improve my English.
Because I have small children and work every day, it's difficult for me to make a large block of time to study English. But as you said, I can listen to some English songs or hear some English radio while doing household tasks!
It's also useful to hear that I should make more opportunities to discuss various topics.
I hope I have been able to speak in more detail. When the topic became complicate, I couldn't explain in English.

One of my big motivations to learn English is to communicate with international people and hear about their life history and dreams for the future.
Next time I'd like to hear about your story!

We talked about the same sex marriage. The total of 29 countries and territories around the world recognize the same sex, but Japan doesn't. Japan is the only country in the G7 that doesn't offer any rights to same -sex couples. LGBTQ awareness in Japan has lagged behind other developed countries and many people identified as LGBTQ described themselves as reticent. However, some people say that things have been changing a lot in the past 20 years. In 2015, Shibuya Ward in Tokyo announced that it would offer "partnership certificates". All though that certificates are not legal, the certificates are used as de facto marriage certificates to help same sex couples with matters such as hospital visits and renting apartments. More and more people in Japan started to support gay rights.
