Mainly, we talked about energy traders flocking to Japan. Since there are four seasons in Japan and Japanese government is trying to increase the usage of renewable energy like hydro, nuclear and solar energy, energy traders are targeting Japan and trying to enter derivatives market in Japan. However, the progress of derivatives market in Japan is quit slow because a lot of Japanese companies are hesitating to enter such a risky market. Next we talked about the saury price. Since the amount of saury catches is decreasing, the price of saury tend to soar. One of the reasons is that Chinese and Taiwanese fishing boats get a head start before the saury start migrating to Japan. |
