 We discussed about the state of emergency in Japan. The third state of emergency will be in place and limited state of emergency will be active in more areas. Five other prefectures such as Fukushima, Ibaraki, Kagawa, Tokushima and Nagasaki have also asked for the authority to employ limited state of emergency measures.
There is argument saying whether we are on a right track to have a limited state of emergency. Since the number of coronavirus cases increase as soon as the government lifts a limited state of emergency, some experts say we need to imply more strict rules to impose fines or criminal charges for disobeying virus measures. Also we talked about a lady who succeeded in feeding wild turtles. There is also an argument that we should not keep feeding wild animals because they will be less capable of taking care of themselves. However, for local communities benefiting from wildlife tourism, it is one of important features to attract tourists. We need to find the best solution for both.

 Today's sound material for listening practice was about instagrammable animals.
I've never known the owl-like lovely bird named "frogmouth".
Their eyes are big and round and put on the center in their face.
First time, I couldn't catch the whole content fully, but Cheese gave me
some questions and hints to help me.
Gradually, I began to understand it.
This practice motivated me to focus on listening and to repeat the practices.
Thank you, Cheese for providing me interesting articles as always.

 Today, Jeff gave me a beneficial web site to learn crucial idioms.
I learned "a drop in the ocean", "Actions speak louder than words", "add fuel to the fire".
They are so cool.
Further, he provided me an Japanese article about Japanese online system for
booking a vaccination to summarize by myself.
It was difficult for me, but I tried my best and this is a good practice to boost up
my motivation to learn.

 We talked about Biden's gambit to open vaccine patent. We need to support poor developing countries such as India so that nations in those countries can be inoculated. All of us need to be vaccinated to prevent the spread of corona virus. On the other hand, pharmaceutical companies need to keep their profits to provide salaries to their employees. I think the best way is to create a fund for vaccines to support poor developing countries.
