I talked about his restaurant in Malaysia and I used some English words I rarely use in my conversation. Skillet, bell peppers, stuffed chicken, chick, tenderloin, sirloin. Very useful conversation about cooking with a professional cook.

初めてのオンライン英会話でしたが、笑顔で娘と接してくれました。
子供相手もあり、身振りや手振りを使って、単語を教えてくれました。
先生の用意してくれたウェブのテキストを使用してレッスンをしましたが、
まだまだ娘にとっては難しくて、ちょっと戸惑っていました。
雰囲気の印象としては気に入った様子で、悪くはない様子でした。

I‘m glad to know that Mark-sensei is really interested in Japanese traditional ceremony. I showed our family’s photos for him. I asked him if there was similar ceremony in Philippines or not. As adult young people bear their responsibility. It’s the age of 20 in Japan ( voting election age is 18). In Philippines it’s the age of 21 for men and the age of 18 for women. I’ve never heard of it. It’s depends on each country. It’s so interesting.

I talked about “Kimono”. There are a lot of traditional celebrations in Japan.
Omiya-Mairi is held for newborn baby around 1 month when parents visit to shrine for the first time to pray their baby’s Happiness and Health. Also kids are celebrated on“七五三”, “成人の日（coming-of-Age Day）” or special days. I wore kimonos several celebrations. May-sensei tried to understand my poor English. I appreciate her.
