We went over my article. After that, We talked about an article whose title is 'Wooden knife is sharpener than steel'. A good cook should be able to cook better with right tools. I found a copper frying pan had better conductivity and was the best for cooking. A team of researchers from University of Maryland made a wooden knife that is 23 times harder than wood and almost three times sharper than steel. At last we talked about secret tips about making strawberry shortcakes making the dough and whipping cream very fast. That can make the cake very soft and light.

Our free conversation's subject was a crime. I talked about a scam in which an older person was deceived by a young culprit who pretended to be his grandson. When he visited a police station, he was advised that he should have contacted the station before he met with his "grandson." I also addressed my experience with a security officer who broke into my room while staying in a hotel in a foreign country. I always appreciate your help and corrections.

Our theme was culture; I spoke of Shinto, which originated in Japan. Some people pick fortune papers that can be found around shrines in Japan. Although almost all of our funerals are done in the Buddhist way, most people don't have a religion - they are atheists.

すごくやさしくて、そしてきれいな発音でよかったです。発音に自信がないので、もっと間違いを訂正してくれてもいいのに、、と思いましたが、でも、ほめてもらえたのはうれしかったです。

Today, Bill and I discussed freedom of speech, and he brought up some examples of the cases that involve the theme with precise explanations.
I had already known that he was always trying to use simple English, and it has been so helpful, but I realized that he tactfully switched from simple English to the natural one according to what we were talking about: When we talk about casual stuff, he uses natural expressions as if he was talking to natives. When he needs to explain complicated things, then he uses easy, simple descriptions so I could understand easily. I found it amazing.
