Today, after small talk, we reviewed the useful idioms. * bite off more than you can chew * blow somebody away * by the skin of one's teeth Jeff always tells me interesting and useful expressions, using Google images to fix the meanings. I asked him the meaning of "There is a catch." He explained the meaning with various example sentences. Now I understand "catch" means "trick" in this expression. Lastly he introduced an interesting article about kids' reading books. He kindly explained the points I couldn't understant. Thank you, Jeff for the exciting lesson and See you next time. |
