Today’s topic is “Chocolate”. Chocolate contains “Theobromine”. It’s good for human beings, but not good for dogs. I was glad that Evelyn-sensei was interested in this information. Anyway we crave chocolate everyday, I’d like to keep eating it in moderation. |

We read an article on the ASEAN's Five-Point Consensus on Myanmar. The article was very critical of the consensus. ASEAN's adherence to the principle of non-intervention makes it difficult for it to take drastic measures. The ASEAN nations were not homogenous. Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore criticized the Tatmadaw, although Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia were unwilling to interfere. The good news is that a NUG delegate attended the U.S.-ASEAN meeting in Washington, D.C. Myanmar may also serve as a focal point for Japan's human rights diplomacy. |

It's been two years, but I'm glad we could have a pleasant conversation as usual. We end up talking so much that we don't get to the text, but it's a fun conversation and I learn enough from the free talk. Thanks to you, I have come to like English, which I used to dislike, and now I have meetings in English every day. I don't mind that I sometimes make mistakes in sentence maintenance or use the wrong words, but I am able to have a good conversation without worrying about it. I am looking forward to working with you again in the future. |
